Last night i made another attempt at this crochet pattern i've been intimidated by from Knot Sew Cute, found here on Etsy. I think it's going alright ... although it's starting to wave a little which worries me a bit ... I've also started collecting acorn tops (little brown turd-like things, top right) which i think i might want to attach to some fuzzy felted balls of wool :)

it would go with everything i have because it's all grey. 

oh this would also look fantastic with what i'm wearing today, which also happens to be grey.  oops.

This is my current project. Bowl number 4. In the red that jocelyn picked out at Birkeland Bros. since 1939, on Main near 19th. Wow, i think that by posting this photo, I just made this blog ghetto ...

felted bowls

After watching a few YouTube videos on how to crochet and making a ton of ugly mistakes, I finally got the hang of it. The pattern is so simple once you figure out how to crochet. :P

The red one turned out the best since the stitches were looser. The grey ones were too tight and didn't felt as easily. I was most excited about the one with the red stripe but it ended up getting stuck inside a pillowcase and didn't get agitated as much as the others. You can still feel the red stitches that I added on afterwards.

I don't think I'll be making these again anytime soon. Even though they were simple it was still very time consuming. Plus crocheting so much so quickly made my wrist click audibly. Eek.
